Diane Broyles is easily the next Mary Stewart. If you love the romantic mystery genre and are a fan of Ms. Stewart's romantic mystery masterpieces, The Moonspinners, Madam Will You Talk, and Airs Above the Ground, you're in for a real treat with Out of Time on Santorini. Ms. Broyles has written a marvelous, fast-paced mystery that will keep you guessing and rooting for her main character as she untangles the complex plot set amid the beautiful Greek Isle of Santorini. This is a solid murder mystery and a lovely romance in one. I can't praise this book enough. It's that good. As I write this review I am anxiously awaiting the next Diane Broyles' entry in the genre. I really enjoyed this book! The plot twists kept me turning the pages, and the protagonist Dina was wonderful! She was spunky and romantic, but also a level-headed and realistic female character. Lots of action to keep the reader engaged, and great descriptions of the setting and culture of the Greek islands. I've never been to Greece, and I felt transported.
After a past life regression, San Francisco anchorwoman Dina travels to the Greek Island of Santorini in an attempt to deal with frightening choking incidents. She soon meets several handsome men--including one who may be a killer. The plot twists and turns like a Greek mountain road, and in fine sensory detail, the reader can savor the ocean breeze and hear the music of the bouzouki. The dialog is sharp and rings true.
This book will make you want to run out and buy a ticket to Greece, or at the very least, go out for a fine Greek meal. Opa!
A mysterious fiction romance that captured my attention from page one! This story took me on a heart-warming and thrilling journey that involved time, suspense, travel, passion, and a whole lot of twists in the plot. Dina, the book’s primary character; was very likable; she was unique, ambitious, risky, talented, intuitive, and witty. To accompany her in search of answers concerning her problematic choking episodes kept me intrigued throughout all her conversations and travels in Greece, particularly on the little island of Santorini. Surprises unfolded or secrets were revealed in almost every chapter. The book can easily cause someone to ponder his or her ideas about destiny. This story is a page-turner for sure! It is certain to keep readers up late into the night.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Out of Time on Santorini" by Diane Broyles. Being familiar with the San Francisco bay area and also Greece and Santorini made this book especially enjoyable. Nice read. Would definitely recommend it.
Delicious as a steaming bowl of avgolemono, this delightful mystery has it all heart-stopping suspense, quirky characters, romance, lots of laugh-out-loud moments, and a gorgeous Mediterranean setting. I only wish there were a sequel.
Wow, I never knew what to expect from these complex characters. Broyles' mystery kept me turning pages, following each clue to the surprise ending. Women who struggle to compete in once thought of as male professions will appreciate the protagonist's struggle. Add to that the fact that the exciting action takes place mostly in Greece, with the differences in culture and language as further challenges to Dina's sleuthing skills. Good from beginning to end.
